Woodbury Area Information
Woodbury, a suburb of the Twin Cities, is located in Washington County, Minnesota. Just southeast of St. Paul, Woodbury is within close proximity to Minnesota’s largest employer, 3M. It is known for its attractive residential neighbors and closeness to the St. Croix River Valley.
The neighborhoods are connected by more than 100 miles of multi-use trails and are surrounded by 3,000 acres of dedicated park land. Three of the parks in Woodbury circle Colby, Wilmes, and Powers lakes. You will also find two golf courses in the city: Prestwick (privately owned) and Eagle Valley (publicly owned).
Woodbury is also home to an impressive business community that includes The Hartford, Assurant (formerly Fortis), Target.com, Woodwinds Health Campus, eFunds, EcoWater Systems, and Long Term Care Group. A large portion of the town’s economy comes from retail stores. Two of the largest retail centers are Tamarack and Valley Creek. Woodbury Lakes opened in 2006 with an open air layout.
